Just wanted you to know that Ruby is going to be a "pin up" girl in a local pet food store. I entered her into a photo contest for Paw shop in Cranbrook and she won a gift certificate, which she promises to share with Chloe, and her photo to be framed and hung in the store. We are so proud :)

Today while I was at the vets with the puppies I witnessed a terrible situation. A girl had put her friends adult chocolate lab in the back of a truck box because they did not want the dog to ride in the cab. Of coarse the dog fell out on the highway while she was driving, the dog flipped over the edge of the box, slamming and rolling onto the pavement. She did have sense to bring the dog to the vets, but screaming mad because it would cost to have the poor dog stitched up and cared for. The owner of the dog was at work and had no idea of what had happened until he gets the phone call.

Cheers to her father who came in to pay the bill and to reprehend her for her stupidity.

Please do not have your dog or puppy ride in the back of a truck box

and do stress to all who will be involved in your dogs life to follow the same rule.

Please be informed when purchasing a puppy.

When purchasing a puppy do ask to see the parents paper registration certificate - white with blue and gold edge trim. CKC (or AKC ). All purebred dogs will have one.

The certificate of registration will include -

the date the dog was born / who the dogs parents are and who owns the dog.

You should receive a copy of both the mom and the dad's registration form when you purchase a puppy.

If the certificate is white with gold and green edged with the words "Non breeding - on the top, this means they have signed a contract with the breeder and with the Canadian Kennel Club - not allowed to breed the dog. This is breach of contract and against the law if this dog is bred.
