and to keep in touch with how your puppy ( dog) is doing.
our share section devoted to you
Hey Carol, Dale,
Just wanted to let you know that the puppy I got from you was an absolute hit!!!  We named him Tank, due to the fact that he is going to be huge.  Tank has been great, and we have made him feel very, very welcome in his new home.  The kids always play with him when I get home, and he comes with me everyday to work!  He even goes up to the door and waits for us to open it up so he can go to the bathroom outside.  We've decided to keep him on the same food that you were feeding him.  Turns out it was the same stuff we fed Shep.
Just wanted to let you know that Mel and the kids are 110% stoked, and I even have to admit that I am too.
Thanks again, the buying experience was very easy, and you let me go with him with more than I expected.
Just a quick update,      Cole, Mel, Raiden, Jude, and Tank

Good Morning Carol,
I just wanted to drop you a quick line to let you know that things are so great with Molly and we just love her to pieces :) Byron and I would just like to thank you and Dale again for allowing us to take the little girl into our family! She's such a quick learner - just this morning she ran to the back door when she had to go to the bathroom! I've attached a few pictures for you.
p.s. she really loves her naps! ha-ha.
Thanks again,
Sara

Fergie has been so much fun. She is so full of energy and really smart. She loves to snuggle with the kids. Thanks again for all your work and we will let others know of the great dogs you raise. Thanks again,
Quincy
Kilo is doing really good, she is such a good puppy. She was house trained within the 2 weeks since she came home, and she never whines or barks when we leave her in her crate. She has really gotten to love it here, and she and our 1 year old huskey are getting along really well.                                                                               Thanx again, she's been everything i could have imagined, Pj

Hi Carol, Just thought I would let you know that Kimber is doing wonderful. She is such a great puppy. The kids absolutely love her and she loves them. She already sits on command and loves to play fetch. We took her to the lake yesterday and she was fetching a toy from the edge of the water (she just goes in with her front paws but still I thought it was good). There was three other dogs there and she did great. Dan Prins' dog "Rocky" (our friend that also got a dog from you earlier this year) was at our house the day Kimber got home to meet and great her with excitement. Thank you very much for Kimber , she is the perfect addition to our family. I have attached some pictures of Kimber!

Hi Carol,
Things with the puppy are wonderful! She is an absolute doll. Her and our maltese are now becoming the best of friends, and she is initiating a friendship with our cat!
Just wanted to let you know that we did get to the vet last Monday and everything looks fantastic per them. Thank you so much for this little one, it has been fun getting to know her personality.
(Is that her picture on your website? I just noticed some new pics on your homepage and it looks like her. I wish we were able to adopt the other young lady you have, she looks like a doll herself!)
Take care,
Stephanie & Peter

Hey Carol just wanted to let you know how Macey is doing, she's great, everyone loves her ! She has settled into her new home and is full of energy, she keeps us busy :) Thank you again for such a beautiful puppy, we will keep you updated on how things go ! -Megan

Carol,
Well the dogs are 1 year old now. They are great, get alot of compliments on their looks as well as their behavior. Just thought I send a picture or two now that they are a year old.

Hi Carol,

Happy New Year!  Just wanted to drop you a line and give you an update
on how Beatrix is doing.  She is 7mths, and is an absolute joy.  Each and
every day she makes us laugh and is a really sweet girl with a
wonderful disposition.  After reading Marley & Me, I think we got pretty lucky!
She listens very well and does not get herself into much trouble at all
(aside from destroying a pillow- see picture below).   She and our 16yr old
catare even learning to become friends.
Her eyes turned green and she has some white colouring on her back and
tail.  She is approximately 50lbs, not sure if she'll grow much taller
or just fill out.  She still has big floppy 'Dumbo' ears (which I hope she
doesn't grow into, because they're so cute!).  She loves to swim and
fetch she has made many friends at the dog beach near our house.
We had a white Christmas in Vancouver this year (a rarity) and Beatrix
LOVED the snow.  Her favourite pastime was chasing snowballs.

Best regards,
Keri

Hi Carol,
Hope all is well with you? I just wanted to let you know how happy we are with our puppy!

We named her “Belle” and my son still calls her “Belle Puppy” as you suggested, (he says “puppy” is her last nameJ!)

She’s sure a beautiful dog and a very, very good listener. She is so docile, like you had mentioned. We are all very happy with our newest addition to our family!

Thank-you for our lovely Belle!

Hello,
We got our lovely lab from you last summer and he is doing wonderful. I'm so sorry we have not contacted you earlier.  He is a great dog and is very loving! we are actually discussing getting another one! I have attached some pictures to show you how big he is getting. Notice in a lot of the pictures they are sleeping. He does that ALOT! I just wanted to thank you for the wonderful part of our family we have received! I check your website often, I'm trying to convince Tyler is let me get another puppy. We'll see if he gives in. hehe
Thanks again,
Dara

Hey Carol,
What a character our “little” guy has become.  I quote “little” because at 8 months he is just shy of 70 lbs.  He has no problem pulling our two kids around in their wagon.  We still can’t get over how calm he is, and when we tell people that he is a purebred lab they too can’t believe how calm and well behaved he is.  They also are quite amazed with his coloring.  I have yet to see another Red Lab here in Manitoba.  The only problem I seem to have with him is he does NOT like car rides.  Making it quite difficult to take him anywhere, it usually becomes a wrestling match that I don’t win.

I would like to thank you for breeding us a wonderful dog.  He is awesome with our kids, awesome with our visitors and makes a wonderful addition to our family.  He is turning out to be a beautiful well behaved dog and we can’t wait to see how he is going to look when he is done growing.  He is a good mixture of both Caesar and Foxy.

Hi Carol!

We absolutely love Harley.  He's doing great!!!  Friday night was tough - he cried all night, and I ended up sleeping on the floor next to his crate.  The second night he did way better, and was up every three hours.  Two nights in a row, he's been sleeping from 10pm until I wake him up at 6am to go outside!  Lee's been working from home this week - so he's never alone.  We're amazed on how well he's doing.  We've already trained him on where to go in the yard - and he automatically runs to that spot to 'go' when we're outside!
Crate training is going well.  We're on day four - and no accidents in the house (yet!).  Harley already fetches - and returns the ball to us!
Gage is really excited - we're taking him to school on Thursday to show his classmates.  :)
Thanks again Carol - Harley is an amazing addition to our family!!!!!!

Luna is fantastic Carol! We LOVE her so much!  Enjoying all of what a puppy can bring into someones' life.  Here are some photos!
She is doing great, her first trip to the vet, to get to know him, was on friday.  She was so great, she is very easy going, and has moved into her new home with no issues.  I can't believe we waited so long to get a dog! She is loving life, and is a happy girl.  Thanks for everything! Cathy

Hi Carol,

Just thought I'd drop you a quick note to let you know how Harley is doing.  We absolutely love him!  He's doing amazing, and has settled into our daily routine very well.  He is gentle, and loves the kids.  Bree (3 yrs old) walks him around on the leash - and he follows her well!  He's been to two show and tells - and responds great with different environments.  He goes to the vet tomorrow for his second round of vaccinations.

Thank you again, and we'll be sure to send you some pictures!

Hi Carol.
It is with great pleasure that we contact you, to let you know how “Bear” is doing.  I’ve also included some pictures of him most memorable times.  Thank you so much for him.  We love him to pieces, and he fits in wonderfully with the family.
Hi Carol,
We named our puppy Morgan. She is an absolute angel!! Believe it or not, but she didn't cry at all the first night home and she slept through the entire night. I was completely amazed!!! She's starting to get more comfortable with her surroundings and is showing a little more spunk each day. She responds very well to the word 'NO' already and she's doing so good with the potty training. She is such an intelligent little pup already and we're so proud she's ours.

Hello Carol,
I just wanted to give you an update on Red Isle Finnigan, he's great I spoil him apparently cause I m plumbing him up a little.  He is actually coming home on a trip with me back home to PEI, we're flying, Hope all is well with you and your family! Take Care talk to you soon.

.Hi Carol,

Chris and I made it home a few hours ago and our children are so excited about the pups.  They are thrilled with having 2 dogs!
I saw on the website your posting about Randi’s forever home.  You will never have to worry about her as my kids have fallen madly in love with her and she will be spoiled rotten.  Because she is so small they are fighting to give her attention.  They love Earl too and he is busy following us all around the house.  They were pretty good on the drive as Randi slept most of the way, and I learned the fine art of dog juggling with Earl in the front seat.
I have attached a picture for you of our new clan additions.  Thank you so much .  We love our puppies!

Just a few pics of Grissly's Springer (Springer). He will be turning 1 year old this month and I just wanted to share some pics of the last 9 months. He is such a beautiful dog.

Hi Carol,

I hope things are well and we just wanted to send you some photos of our puppy.
Attached are a few photos; we named her Casey.  She is 4 months old now and getting bigger every day.  We are enjoying her very much and absolutely love her.  The amount of compliments we receive about how beautiful she is, is amazing  In addition, Casey and Dozer have become
great friends!  They love to chew bones, play tug-a-war with ropes, chase flies, etc.  I am happy to report that she is not fond of chewing shoes (yet) but does enjoy digging with her big paws.  She is going to be a big girl so we are enjoying her while she is still small.

Hello Carol
I just wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you for allowing us to adopt Sadie.  She is a beautiful puppy.  She is fitting in well, the kids love her and the other dogs…well they are warming up.  Also I was wondering if it was too late to change her name. She just suited Molly…
Thanks again!!
D

Kaya absolutely loves camping.  She chases after squirrels and birds, plays in the creek and goes for runs in the big field.  In the evening, she loves to curl up on one of our laps by the campfire and just enjoy.  I’ve included two pictures, one of her with my husband, and one with our son.

Hi Carol

Just wanted to let you know that our puppy (a chocolate from Coco & Reece) is doing really well.  We named him Ranger.  From day one he just fit right in and accepted his new home.  He took no time at all getting used to his new surroundings.  It did take him a couple of nights to get used to the crate but he likes to sleep there now.  He gets along very well with our other dog, Bear.  They play endlessly.  He does love to chew and needs direction to the appropriate toys that are his to chew on but that's most puppies.  The picture attached is from a little hiking trip we did last weekend.  Ranger does very well on the leash.
I still enjoy your website and seeing your puppies
Thanks for Ranger

Hello Carol,

Just a note to let you know Kimber is now just over a year old and is doing
wonderful... We absolutely love her.  Kimber loves to play in the water and go
for swims.  She is very obedient, loyal and calm.

We have been thinking about getting Kimber a playmate.  Possibly waiting until
spring time.  So I was just wondering what you have planned for litters around
that time... Breeding pairs, possible colors ... etc.

I have attached a couple pictures of Kimber

Hi Carol,
Just wanted to let you know that Kaycee is doing great!!  We love her so much.  She has started puppy school already and is a very quick learner.  She has even been swimming at the lake near our house.  Thanks so much
for such a great addition to our
family K and P

Hi Carol,
We thought we should send you an update on our puppy Morgan (from Shadow and Caesar’s litter). Morgan is doing great and she has been keeping us quite busy for the last couple months! We can’t believe how smart she is-she has caught onto all of her training very quickly. She is so affectionate and loves absolutely everyone. She always wants to cuddle and we have people over on a daily basis just to see her. She has been great with kids and other dogs as well.
Thank you so much for raising such beautiful and smart dogs. We are so happy to have her and we could not imagine our lives without her!
We will keep you posted as she grows up!
Take Care,
Mike, Brianne and Morgan
Hi Carol,

Just thought I would send you a little update on Beatrix.  She is now 16 months old and 70lbs.  However, she still seems to think she only weighs about 10lbs and loves to climb up and sit in your lap.  She has a fabulous personality and has been an absolutely delightful addition to our family.
Hello Carol!
I just want to thank-you for such a beautiful, gentle, amazing puppy! We are so in love :) I was amazed how she adapted so quickly! Your helpful hints were followed and made things so much easier! She did so well on her first night! I slept with Matt on the floor beside her crate. She only 'cried' once. When I calmed her down by reassuring her, she went back to sleep.. other than a couple of bathroom trips during the night ;) I am just amazed how she seems like she has been here much longer! I am also blown away by our cat!!!!!!!!!!
I never have seen him so friendly towards a dog before...... ever! Willow is even trying to play with Tigger, and he is not hissing or fluffin up his fur. My Mom and I are just amazed how easy the homecoming has been for everyone! Thank-you so much for making this wonderful experience for us! We all are so thankful!
Jennifer :)
Carol,

I hope all is well and you had a great holiday and New Year's celebration!!
I just wanted to send you a photo album we have been putting together with lots of pictures...Lexi has been a great dog and has been a pleasure to train.  She now sits, lays down, and shakes both paws on command.  She also loves walks and car rides a great deal.  She also likes to try and jump in the shower when I forget to close the bathroom door.  She loves water!! And we are very lucky to have her.

She has recieved all of the her shots now (vaccine, booster and rabies) so next week will be her first trip down to the dog park.  I will be taking her down there on a daily basis to give her her excercise and allow her to interact with other dogs.  It should be a lot of fun!!
I also wanted to ask you if you have had time to register "Willow's Lexis Jade?"  I am not entirely sure how it works.  Will I recieve something in the mail?
Other than that enjoy the pics and I also promised you a couple of autographed items signed by the team.  As soon as all the boys get back to town, I will put a few things together and send them out to you!!

Keep in touch...
Burke
Hi Carol,
Just thought you  would be interested in seeing how Gordie (BUSTER)  is doing.  We have sent a couple pictures for you to see how much he has grown.   He is 6 months old now and weighs 63 pounds and it looks like he still has lots more growing to do.   I think he has a face like his mom (Sally) right now. He is a beautiful dog with a great personality.  He loves people, never barks, absolutely loves every dog and is very well behaved (never leaves our side).  Friends are very surprised at how calm our puppy is.  Thanks again for a great puppy.  Hope all is well.
P.S Just wondering if you have that picture you took of Jeff and I with Gordie, the day we picked him up. (end of Aug)

Dear Carol,
Hello from Northern Ontario!  As you can see from recent photos, Penny (July 2009 litter of  Griz & Tess) had grown into a beautiful, loving companion.   Penny was a dream to train; she is calm, obedient, and loves to please her family.  She took to crate training at night from the start, and within 3-4 weeks, she was fully 'potty' trained.  Penny is quite smart; she knows several commands, and many words.  In fact, she can easily identify her different toys when we name them.  She is excellent with our kids and with our neighbors' dogs.  She is now six months & perfectly healthy.  She loves spending time outside with her buddy Golden Retriever Brass, as well as hiking & snowshoeing with us in the nature trails.  I know that you must get this a lot, but we fell blessed and are certain that our pup was the pick of the litter!   Thank you so much for letting Penny into our lives!

The Besharah Family
Hi Carol,
Well the Chase & Bella turn 2 today so I thought I'd send some new pictures of them.
Neil
Hi Carol!  Our lovely dog, Luna, is now a year old, and loving life! She has been the best addition to our lives, she brings us so much joy.  Since first picking Luna up at Emelson, we realized that she is a very cuddly girl, who listens well, and loves to learn.  This has continued throughout her first year. She is very smart, and loves the stimulation of learning. She has been an amazing teacher for us as well, for example, the lessons of slowing down and enjoying each moment, and she makes us laugh a lot! We look forward to our daily walks and playtime with her. Luna is a sweetheart, we wanted to let you know she is doing fantastic, and that we are so happy with our dog. We just cannot say that enough! Thank you! P.S. we have recommended you to everyone we meet who is talking about getting a puppy! Cathy and Darin

Carol,
I just wanted to let you know that I recieved Lexi's registration papers in the mail, so thank you.  She is doing very well!! She gets to the dog park every day and loves to mingle and interact with lots of other dogs.  I take her to Southland, Bridgeland and Riverside, so she has made lots of friends.  She sits, lays down, spins around both ways, rolls over, shakes both paws and waits to eat on command.  She couldnt be any smarter and she has been a joy to train.

As promised, I will be sending you some autographed stuff by the team.  I will have to wait for training camp though because most of the guys are living abroad.  We begin training on June 7 this year, so it will be probably July when I get it sent.  Just giving you a quick heads up.
Burke

Carol can you Thank Adeles for meeting us early to pickup Zeus. Here are a few pictures for your scrapbook. Things are going very well and we are so glad that we stayed with our first choice. Zeus is very energetic and a great addition to our home. We will send you updates from time to time.
All the best
Dave, Kim, Zachary, Ty and Zeus

Hi Carol!

Wanted to let you now that Ratchet is doing great!  He and his brother, Kuro (charcoal from Kayla & Griz last year) are getting along great.  Kuro steals all of Rathets toys and is destroying them faster than I can take them away, but they are getting along famously!

Ratchet is going for his second set of shots this coming week.  He is enjoying the acreage, although we haven't taken him far from the house, as we, too, have coyotes who come on the property.

He will be starting obedience at the end of the month.  It is an obedience/introduction to agility class.  Kuro is also going to go to learn agility and how to behave without the distraction of the little Ratchet around!

Ratchet has adapted to his kennel well, be he enjoys the "chicken coop" better.  We hae a dog run with a building within, that used to hatch/keep chickens prior to us buying the property.  It is insulated with a warming light and is bedded in straw, so I think he straw is a comforting reminder of his home when he was with you!

Although he and Kuro are brothers, they have completely opposite personalities.  Ratchet is go-go-go and always wants to chew and tug, whereas Kuro was always a layed back and content chewing on toys.  Ratchet prefers to chew your pants, socks, sheos (basically whatever he can get his mouth on), but not so much his toys!

Anyways, they keep my hopping!  Sean has been away since we picked up Ratchet, but will be home this week and is anxious to meet him.
I will send pictures as soon as I can find time to upload them (my how the roles are reversed now!).  I have a few pics of the 2 of them together.

Take Care,
Kim
Hi Carol,
Thanks for the information-I will pass it along to my sister.  I think that they are trying to decide which breed they would like, but if they do want a lab, then they would like to get it from you since we have had such a great experience with Morgan.

I have attached some pictures of Morgan, they are quite recent so they show her size and "grown up" features.  She is about 10 1/2 months old now and is about 60 lbs-a very good size.

Morgan has been doing great and is such an amazing dog.  She loves being around us all the time and is our little shadow around the house!  She loves her off leash walks where she gets to meet lots of dogs and has made many dog friends.  She is a lot like Caesar in that she is a
favorite to everyone that she meets.  She loves being outside, running around and playing with her toys.  She has lots of energy when she is outside, but when she is at home she loves to cuddle and is very affectionate.  She is such a sweetheart and we could not imagine our lives without her.

Thanks again for everything.  We will keep you posted as to how she is doing and send you more pictures.
Take Care,
Brianne, Mike & Morgan

Hi Carol,
Tate is doing really well, everyone we introduce him to is impressed with how well behaved he his.  He has his basic commands down and retrieves tennis ball eagerly.  He has become protective of the house, he tries to intimidate the local deer but doesn't have much luck.Lol.  The potty training is still a work in progress but I think he has it figured out now.  The last couple night he slept straight through.  Crate training was easy as he loves both of the crates we have for him.  He is sitting just shy of twenty pounds right now and he gets his third shots in 3 weeks.

Thanks again Carol,

Brandon and Jolaine

Hey Carol ! Hope all is going well with you and your family (including the dogs ! ) Just wanted to let you know that Macey has grown on us so much. She is absoulutely beautiful, we are so happy she is such a good listener and alway excited to us ! She definetly could make anys bad day turn out for the best. Thanks so much again Carol, couldnt image life without her
Hi Carol. Katana, daughter of Griz and Tess, is 12 weeks now and has been such a good puppy. She loved her crate right from the beginning and was sleeping through the night after 1 week! She is a very quick learner and was house trained in a little over a week. She loves to play and go for walks, and we have started her in a "jump start" class. She far exceeded our expectations and did better than much older dogs.  We look forward to taking her camping and hiking this summer. She is 16 pounds and everyone who meets her falls in love with her. She has brought so much joy to our family and we feel that she is the best dog ever!

Thanks again,

Steve and Christine
Hi Carol,
Our baby is getting bigger by the minute....and he just loves the snow!
(I'm over it myself, can'twait for some warmth)
I forgot to ask you how many there were in his litter?
Was he the first / last born? I know it's quite unimportant, just curious.
We saw he new ppuppies on your site, they are simply adorable.
You guys are breeding awesome dogs, thank you again for our Chester Field!!
Hello Carol,

My name is Jackie.  My family and I bought a puppy from you two years ago in March 2008. I know the stud was Griz and I think the female was Coco. I often look at your website for pictures of our dogs litter mates as well as his parents. I am wondering what happened to Coco since she is no longer on your list of breeding females?

Chewbacca (Chewy for short) is the most stunning dog I have ever encountered! People literally stop us in our vehicle to tell us how beautiful he is and ask to pet him. It's unreal! He weigh's just under 120 pounds but he also has the muscle, length and height to support that weight. He is a very big boy! Chewy is patient, kind and loving. Exceptional with our two children!

I just wanted to join the masses in telling you how much our beloved dog has added to our family! If I can figure it out, I'll try and post a picture.
Sincerely,
Jackie Nichols & Family
Hi Carol,  Just wanted to drop a line letting you know how wonderful Boomer is and how he has become part of our family.  He is unlike any other lab we have had before in that he "grazes" on his food...a bit at a time.  Whereas the others wolfed their meals, looking for more.

By day 3 he was obeying sit and down.  Come is not so quickly obeyed ..just ignored.  We are working on this one.  He is mostly house trained with only one accident yesterday.  He became alot rowdier the second day here and is full of beans.  He hates to be out of our sight, although he sleeps well every night and crates well without much complaining after a few yowls of dismay..

Rather like a having a busy toddler, Boomer is my weightloss companion....I am up and about most hours of the day with him...although he is the picture of contentment in the mid evening, happily chewing his bone while we watch TV.  We can't wait to take him on long walks...although he retrieves quite well and loves to fetch his tennis ball.

Thank you for such a wonderful addition to our home.  I will send pictures as he grows.  Take care, Susan
Hi Carol!  We bought a puppy(Zoey) from you in October of 2008. She was from a litter from Cinnamon & Reese! Thought you
might like to hear how she's doing!  Zoey is a wonderful addition to our family! She is such a fun, energetic girl with an
extremely sweet disposition!  She has gotten into her fair share of mischief; but it has kept life interesting.  She did very
well in obedience classes; and as you can see, we love taking her with us on our travels! Thanks for making our first
puppy experience so positive - we love Zoey to bits & can't imagine life without her! -Diane V & family
Hello Carol,

Just a quick hello and to say that we love Rudy.  He is a fetching pro and will bring anything but the kitchen sink back to us!  I have received many compliments on him, and have dropped your kennel's name many times for people interested in a puppy just like him.  Thanks again!

Nathan

Hello Carol

This is Alex, one of the owners of the fox red female puppy from foxy and caeser.  I believe you called her jewel.  We named her Jayla.  I think we may call her Copper Lady Jayla because she seems to find pennies everywhere.  This name has not been officialy agreed on.  I will let you know once it has been confirmed.  Jayla is a very good puppy and has been catching on extreamly quickly.  I am very pleased with her desier to learn.

I am curious if there is a concern for over exercise at her age.  We have an extreamly extensive network of trails out our doorstep and several hours can be lost wondering through them.  I was wondering if she gets too much exercise if it may cause her to develop too quickly and increase her chances of having joint problems.  She never wimpers from fatique and the hiking is fairly slow paced.  Please let me know.

I attached a photo of Jayla all tuckered out after a walk.  We are very happy with her and would like to thank you for giving us such a great little puppy who will surely turn into an amazing dog.

Thank You
Alex and Matt

Hi Carol - after a very adventurous four hour ride home to start his new life with us "Harley" has made himself right at home. He has pretty well caught on to going outside to do his "business" and has become very playful. Him and the cats are getting along just great also. Anyhow here are the three names  that I have chosen as per your  request. I was unsure whether or not the front of the name had to start with 'Emelson" or not but if that is the case let me know and I will change them.
Thanks,
Greg & Sandra M
Hi Carol,
I hope this email finds you well, we just wanted to give you an update on Angus... yes we named him Angus... suits him too in so many ways. Although somedays he is comparible to having triplets (he seems to be everywhere and into everything)  he is a wonderful dog!

He was very very easy to train (potty) only 3 accidents in the house - which is fantastic! He took to his kennel right away (as long as the door was open) & went all night without once asking to go outside! At 10:00pm we tell him "okay Angus it is bedtime" and he walks into his kennel and sleeps until we get up in the morning.
He eats as most labs do (without stopping to breathe), but waits patiently until we tell him it is okay to do so
He knows sit, stay and shake a paw if you can believe it!  However he still thinks he is the boss when it comes to walking and he and I get into a few arguements each night when we walk... (I think I am winning;)

His retrieving training is coming along ... although some days he would prefer to play "chase me" then bringing the ball or toy back.
He is a delight with the kids (who adore him) although is famous for biting my son in the butt whenever he can! (those puppy teeth can be sharp)
He has more than doubled in size and can be like a bull in a china shop when he gets fired up.

Oh and he found the garbage can last week and managed to eat two whole hamburgers, buns and all along with about six cups of salad and two pickles - he did not feel well after that.
Our camera broke when we were in Maui, so when I get another one, I will be sure to send you some pictures

Thanks for the wonderful dog!
Sherisse, Darcy and family
Hi Carol,
Chester is already famous in town!
He was chosen as Pet of the Week by our local newspaper last week.
Besides winning a gift certificate at the local pet store, he also acheived some notoriety: He started his clicker-training classes this monday and everybody there recognized him instantly. I must add that he was the teacher's pet...he learns sooo fast.
That was jut too cute!!
He is getting bigger by the day, 35 pounds at 17 weeks, so I think we're going to have a gentle giant just like Griz!
Cheers!

Hello Carol,

Just wanted to drop you a note to let you know how Maider Sterling is doing. He is about 90lbs and is 14 months old. He gets along so well with our other dog Gus. Maider's looks are just like his mom's Duchess. He has adjusted well to our family. Maider is full of energy and loves to swim in the pool and the pond chasing the fish!!  We will send pictures very soon.

Thanks again

Hi Carol,
I am just sending some pictures of Bailey. She is just about a year old now, and is the best dog I have ever owned. She is very intelligent and easy to train. She loves the lake and is in the water whenever she gets the chance. She also loves to play fetch. This keeps us very busy. Thank you so much for such a great dog.
Allison.
Hi Carol,

Our little one is doing good.  His nickname is Taz.  When Taz comes out look out!  He's crazy.  We had his puppy vet appointment today.  The vets and the girls love him.  Everyone loves his wrinkles, big paws and his color.  We do too.  Wyatt likes his kennel and goes in and out on his own.  He started doing stairs on his third day.  He now runs up and down them.  We have only had one accident in the house.  He sits, is learning lie down and shake-a-paw.  If I set his food dish on the counter he will snif it out and lie down by the counter until it is time to eat. He is a great puppy.  Thank you for the pictures, they are great.  We will definately keep in touch.

Frank, Marianne and Wyatt
Hi Carol,
it's been over 1 month that we have Wiley and everything is perfect. He is a sweet little dog and he is the star of Golden. He is now working with me everyday at the ski shop so he can socialise with everybody. Some people even come just to see Wiley. A woman stop me the other day on the street to tell me that she almost got an accident with her car because she was looking to much at my puppy.
I sent you a picture of him with his best friend Koko, the lab of my collegue.
Thank you
Marie and David
Hi Carol,
I hope you are well! We just wanted to give you an update now that Jasper is 6 months old! Jeff and I love him so much and are very proud of our little family. Jasper has fit in very well and we have adjusted well to life with a puppy. Until he was 5 months old he attended 'puppy play time' classes twice a week and now we are getting ready for him to start his obedience training (although he is already such a well-tempered, well behaved boy. And he had his neutering operation on Monday, and though he was not happy about having to miss his meals, he has coped well so far.

We cannot tell you how often we get comments about how beautiful he is (although often mistaken for a weimaraner!). He is the talk of the dog park and frequently we get asked to pass your information along.

Anyway Carol, we just wanted to share with you how happy Jasper has made us and to express our sincerest gratitude to you!

Thank you so much, I hope you are well,
Sincerely,
Fiona and Jeff

Hi Carol,
Well, we have had Kaya for a full year now, and I don’t know what we would do without her.  She has the sweetest disposition and has got each of us wrapped around her little paw!  She has been extremely easy to train, and her joy and enthusiasm for life makes us all smile.  Kaya loves everyone, human and canine alike.  Our son Travis’ friends all adore her.  She has many doggie friends that come to visit or stay over, and she gets along great with all of them
I know we’ve said it before, but thank you again for filling the void that was left after we lost our beloved Nanuk.  Kaya will forever be a cherished part of our family.  If you’re ever in Calgary , please feel free to look us up.
Regards,
Nancy, Wendell & Travis M.

Hi Carol,
I hope you are doing well. I really believe we made the right choice of puppy....he loves to run and play with the kids, he even fetches for them already. I just wish the weather was warmer as he was able to run and play outside all the time, but now that the temperature has dropped, we keep him in the barn most of the time right now. Our other dog Sam has also taken to him, as when the dogs bark next door, Sam is right there protecting his new puppy.

I just remembered this morning for the CKC registering, and we did stick with the name Chester. We also had him checked out at the Fort Macloed vet on Thursday, and they figure he is very healthy, and will grow up to be a big boy.

Thanks again for everything, we are really enjoying this addition to our family.

Sincerely
Michele K

Hi Carol.
I hope this e-mail finds you well.
I've enclosed a couple pictures of Sir Chester Field doing what he loves most....swimming at the lake!
He is an amazing boy, so loving and eager to please; people cannot get over how handsome and well mannered he is. We simply adore him!!
He's going in for surgery next week, it's that time now...ouch!!
You might get some calls from BC, as I give out your name to everyone interested in a silver baby.
Thanks again for our wonderful dog!

Just wanted to let you know that Echo is doing awesome.  We have a good routine established and everything is going great.  She has not gone to the bathroom in her crate once, so I'm very happy about that.   We put the crate on a table beside our bed at night (so she can still see us) and I get up with her 2 or 3 times during the night but she is very good about going to the bathroom when we go out.  And during the day she is tons of fun and is quite energetic and playful.  We are glad that we are all home during the day to keep an eye on her - I think that will help with her training - and of course, she has to be beside one of us constantly (it's so cute, as she is always looking for us and trying to figure out where everyone is already).

We are really enjoying having her around.
Thanks,
Cindy.

Hi Carol!
I checked your site today and realized that Kayla had babies again!  We were wondering if they are all spoken for?  Could you please let me know if any are available, and what color, etc.  We would love to have a brother/sister for Kuro.
I've attached a pic of Kuro @ 6 mths when he passed his puppy training.  He is now 8 months and weighs 83 lbs - a large, solid dog, but not as tall as his parents.
Many thanks!
Kim

Hi Carol,

Just wanted to write and let you know we have decided to name our new puppy "Piper" Cinder Fox.  She has been a great puppy so far, she is so calm.  Piper and Kaycee are already friends and play together well.  Kaycee is very good with her, nice and gentle.  I attached a few picture of the two of them.

Thanks, this was Cody's pick, Grizz-Lee Max Shepherd. I hope that works. Thanks again!!! He is the cutest thing ever! He's already started letting us know when he needs to go out to use the bathroom, and has played a little fetch with a ball!! But he does like to be lazy too:) My friend has taken pics and we've has so many compliments on him already!!

Hey Carol! Guss is doing fantastic! He has a lot of positive energy and love for everyone in the family. He listens to all commands, most of the time : ). He has just started to jump off the wharf at the lake and loves bathing in the water, and the sun. He is almost 7 months now, and maturing very quickly. We will send you some more photos soon!
Adam D.
Yes.  They have played together - and it is really cute.  Echo seems to be more playful and energetic and Koda is more quiet and reserved - it is cute.  Their physical appearance is a bit different too - Echo is more blocky and has bigger feet and definitely weighs more and Koda is very lean and dainty but maybe a wee bit taller.  They are cute together.

We are socializing Echo a lot really - she has played with all sorts of children and adults as well as friends dogs (she'll be meeting more dogs too once she has had her next set of immunization shots).

Anyways, just a little update for you.

(p.s. the potty training is going superb as well - better than we thought it would; I don't believe we've had an accident in the house for 8 days).

Thanks,
Cindie.
Carol,

Everything is going great with Echo - she is so much fun - getting bigger every week - she's so pretty.

Just wanted to ask you if there is a CKC number for us for her registration.  I was going to send in that registering paper for the Microchip but the sheet asked for this number so when available just let us know.

Also, are any of the other puppies from that litter in Lethbridge?  If so, could you give me the owners email address?  We are just often visiting family & friends that have dogs and I thought it would be a good socializing opportunity if one of the other pups is in the area and if they want to get together for play dates.

Thanks,
Cindie
Hi Carol and Dale,
Just an update on Lily. She is learning so fast, we have to admit this is the first real puppy we have had in years. She is so mischeivious..lol..Already her hunting lineage is showing she will point and flush the Shih Tzu out of the bushes in the back yard, her colouring is such a deep rich red you would be impressed. Although we have a kiddies pool in the back yard for her its not the same as a lake this past weekend she went to the lake and took to the water right away even retrieving sticks thrown for her. Thank you both for the time and dedication you show to all your dogs it sure does show in the puppies...

Hi Carol,
Winston (son of Sally and Griz) is now a year old and is 73 lbs of chocolate labrador goodness.  Over the past year he has been an exceptionally good puppy that is well mannered and liked everywhere that we go.  I was really surprised how smart he is and how easy it has been to train him, most people didn't believe me when I told them the commands Winston knew at such a young age.  I followed your advice and did get the Leerburg training videos and would recommend the training methods to anyone with a lab as he has responded very well to it.  Out on walks he has tons of energy and playing fetch, particularly swimming while playing fetch, it's what makes his day.  Around the house he's generally laid back, respectful and hasn't chewed up any furniture.  But he has made himself part of the family and we are lucky to have him.  I have and would continue to recommend you as a breeder as he is an exceptional dog and a good friend.
Cheers

Hello again Carol.  We hope you are having a great summer.  Katana (from Griz and Tess Dec. 2009) is growing up so fast and learning new commands and tricks every day!  We recently took her to the dog park for the first time so she could run and play.  She loves being outdoors and is an excellent ball retriever.  She starts her 10 weeks of training in mid August where we get to take her camping, hiking, and to numerous areas in and around Calgary.  We have attached some recent pictures of  her so you can see how much shes grown (now about 45lbs).  Thanks again, talk to you soon.

Steve, Christine & Katana
Hi Carol,
Now that summer is almost over and things are slowing down I thought I would let you know how Ellie (from Duchess’ last litter) is doing.
We think that we have the cutes and smartest puppy ever.
When she was just 10 weeks old I put her in her kennel for the night but I must not have closed it properly and I must not have closed our back door all the way.  When my husband got up in the morning he found the back door and the door to the kennel wide open, outside he found two piles of poop and the puppy was asleep in her open kennel, we were amazed that she would take herself outside and then come back to her kennel.
She has slept through the night since she was 9 weeks and she is learning to use the bells hanging from the doorknob to let us know when she needs to go out.

By the time she was 12 weeks old she already knew sit, lay down, stay, come, leave it and shake.  We are very proud of her.  We took her camping this past weekend and she had so much fun in the lake, I was surprised that she took to the water so soon.

Even my husband who was a little reluctant to get a puppy is totally smitten with her.  He will often call me from work to see how she is doing.   The kids love to play fetch with her, which is a good thing because she it’s her favourite thing to do.  And they get a good giggle listening to her snore while she sleeps.

Thank you for our beautiful wonderful bundle of puppy love!
The Ns.
Hello Carol,
Robin and I were fortunate enough to pick up a little girl from you in March. She is from Cinnamon and Blaze. We just wanted to let you know that she has been awesome! We absolutely adore her personality. Below is a link to her photo album. Feel free to use any of the pictures if you wish. We hope to keep updating the album as she grows.
Warmest Regards,
Barbara & Robin

This update has been a long time coming but I have to tell you that Cisco is an incredible dog.  You promised that the offspring of Shadow and Caesar would be a calm and attentive dog and Cisco certainly is! He is a wonderful addition to our family and the boys absolutely love him! He currently weighs in the 80+ pound area and is quite solid. He loves to fetch and run and already can be trusted alone in the house during the day (although a run before work ensures he stays out of trouble!). Plain and simple we love him!

We will coming back to Emelson Labradors when we get another Lab!
Attached are some pictures from our recent camping trip.

Hi Carol!!
Ruby is doing wonderfully.  She is close to 40 lbs already and is helping Chloe lose weight with all their playing.  They get along better than we could have hoped.  She fits in so well and we love her to pieces.  Couldn't imagine life without her!!  We recently took a trip out to Kootenay Lake where Ruby discovered she loves to swim!!  Not quite up to fetching sticks like Chloe but she loves the water.  I've attached a picture for you of them playing with a stick at the lake.
Thanks again for such a wonderful addition to our family.

Hi Carol,
I hope you had a great summer.
Here in Whistler it was a short one but really hot and Sir Chester went swimming every day.
He actually injured his foot a couple weeks ago, probably on a rock at the bottom of the lake
and now his left front paw is in a cast for the next 4 weeks......ouch!
Maybe you have some tips on how to entertain a house-bound bored puppy?

P.S. I' ve attached a couple pics of our growing boy
Cheers!

Hello Carol,
We have been meaning to send you a note on how Red is doing. We purchased him from you two yrs ago in September. We are still in Kamloops.

Red is exceptionally strong ,sensitive ,not needy, loves to retrieve his ball over and over and over. He is our buffed boy! We bought him as we thought our older chocolate lab was certain to pass away and now has lived with Red for two years. He is not well now but Red loves to keep him company.

We wanted to let you know he is loved very much and is very busy hiking, running, swimming and retrieving.I am including a picture of a hike we did with his buddies.

Chip our chocolate is in the front of the picture.

Thank you very much for giving us a wonderful addition to our family!

This is a picture of Ava taken on the east coast.  It was a great family adventure and both dogs travelled GREAT!  Bella (our chihuahua) has finally "bonded" with her.  We just wanted to say THANK YOU!  Ava has been so easy to train and is truly a well behaved dog by nature.

She has won the hearts of everyone in our family, including our cat Esther!

Hi Carol,
Just thought I would give you an update on Stella ( puppy of Griz and Duchess May 18/10). She is doing great and is in good health and weighs 33lbs. She has a great temperment and loves to play with other puppies and is the talk of the dog park.People seek us out to tell us how beautiful she is.She has fetched and retrieved a toy from 8 weeks old. Basic obiedence was easily taught and is now walking off leash. We couldn't be happier. I have enclosed a couple of pictures for you..
Sorry my memory eludes me though. I cant remember what is involved with your hip garuntee. Can you please give me the details again.....Not to worry, she is in great health..I cant thank you enough for the information you have given us during the puppy process. Stella completes our family.

Hi Carol,
Luca is doing great.  Her and our other lab, Macy, are best buddies and are inseparable.  I've attached a few pictures for you - 2 of them are from a summer camping trip, and the other is at home in a more peaceful moment (these have been few and far between!).

Hi Carol
Meeka is a wonderful and fun addition to our family.  She is a quick learner - we're playing lots of ball and she knows her "stay", "wait" and "come".  As you'll see in the pics, she is true to her labrador blood and loves a swim any time, any place (even my friend's back yard fish pond). She's brought some life out of our geriatric Chloe (12yo chocolate). She's much more "talkative" than Chloe, expressing her distress if her toy gets stuck under the couch or she wants in or out.

Just wanted to give you an update and show you how she's growing up. We think she's rather pretty!  I'm so pleased she's a great family pet.

Hello!
Well Angus is now almost 11 months old.
He took his first hunting trip with Darcy last month and broke alot of bush, but didn't quite figure out why he was there.

He is a calm loving well behaved (for the most part) intelligent dog and we can't imagine life without him.

Thought I would pass along a photo of him for you!
Enjoy
Thanks again for the wonderful addition to our family!

Hi Carol,
It has been a long time since I sent you an update about Barkley.  Well, he has kept us busy. I go back and read your website with the testimonials that say how calm their dog is or how their dog does not bark.  Well, this is not our Barkley. Barkley is very smart, full of energy and has not learned the fine art of relaxing.  As soon as I come home from work, he wants to be near me and play with me.  He is such a funny puppy, throwing his toys and then pouncing on them like a cat.  If he is in his kennel and I am home he barks constantly because he wants to be near me.  His nick name is Sir Barkalot.  He demands attention the whole time he is out of his kennel and loose in the house regardless of how much exercise he gets and he knows how to get your attention by doing things he is not supposed to.  There is no way we could leave him alone in the house without being in his kennel.  He would destroy the place.

Barkly does love to retrieve his ball and can fit three balls or a ball and two sticks or other combinations of balls and sticks in his mouth.  He always like to carry something. Barkly gets along very well with our older lab, Skokie.  Although Skokie does not like to play, having Barkly around has increased Skokie's confidence and energy level. Barkly and I are going to "manners" classes with a certified trainer starting November 17.  In the meantime, we are working on the long stay which is nearly impossible for Barkly to do.  He knows many other tricks including:  sit, down, stand, twirl, crawl, paw, other paw, wait, take, give, release and roll over.  Like I said before, he is very smart.

For awhile he had me trained to take him outside at 4:30 am until I realized that he was training me.  We are now on my schedule and not his. Well for all the challenges he has brought us, we love him very much.  As Ceasar always says, you get the dog you need not the dog you want.  I am not sure why I needed a dog like Barkly but one day I will realize why it was meant to be. Barkly went pheasant hunting in October and did much better than any of our other pups at his age ever did.  In the fields he wanted to visit with the other dogs which is understandable because he is still a playful pup but he flushed out a bird or two and retrieved a couple as well.  He didn't want to give up the first bird but soon learned what it was all about. We encounter many other dogs on our walk and Barkly is overly friendly and forward but never aggressive.  He is very good natured.  He also has a very good nose.  When he is off leash in the forest he finds lots of garbage which we then dispose of which is not a bad thing at all.

Barkly is a very handsome dog and I have attached some pictures for you. I have to be very quick in taking pictures because he does not like to stay in one position for very long.

I will stay in touch and let you know how the "manners" classes go.  I have told Barkly he has to be top of the class but he may have other thoughts in mind when we get there.  The good thing is it a small class of five dogs only and five classes which end before Christmas.  It should be fun. I don't know if you hear from the owners of Barkly's litter mates but I would be interested to find out if they are similar in nature to Barkly or is he one of a kind.

Hope to hear from you soon!
Susan A

Hi Carol - I was just downloading some more pictures of Ruby and I thought I would send along a little update.  We just had Ruby spayed and she's already all healed up.  She took it like a trooper.  She weighs in at 54.5 lbs and she's just over 6 months.  Chloe was 56 lbs at that age so we could have a couple of big girls on our hands very soon.

Chloe and Ruby still play like crazy.  Ruby is very sweet and has developed a habit of hugging us.  She'll come up and put one paw on each shoulder and snuggle into your neck.  It's the best thing ever.

Attached is a picture from the day she was spayed, hanging out with her new toy.

Thank you again for the wonderful addition to our family.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!

Hey Carol,

We just wanted to give you an update on our wonderful puppy. He gets to come boating with us and gets his fair share of swimming in the summer. We recently took our first trip to the dog park and it went very well. Lincoln has made lots of new friends with our friends puppies and we could not be happier with him.
We're considering finding a friend for him at home here.
Thank you so much for the best puppy ever.

From:  Clayton, Keeley and Lincoln

Thought you would like to see a few pictures of him:

Merry Christmas, Carol!

Barkly and I have graduated from the "Manners" class.  Have a look at the attached picture.

To say Barkly is "busy" is an understatement.  He is constantly seeking attention.

The first class we went to was a disaster.  They had suggested not to feed the puppies so that they would work for food; however, this is never a problem for a lab.  I did not exercise him before he went so he was full of energy and hungry. I am sure the other people in the class thought what is that women going to do with that out of control dog.  He was barking, lunging, and not listening very well at all.  To be honest, I could not wait to get out of there.

So, next class we fed Barkly and made sure he had plenty of exercise.  We had been practising what we had learned and he was the star of the class.  What a difference!  In the fourth class the instructor was teaching us tricks such as spin, back, and touch.  Barkly had already learned all of these so he was the super star of the class.  Surprisingly, the other dogs did not know many tricks.  I had been teaching Barkly tricks in order to keep his mind busy because just exercising him does not seem to do it.

We do go on many walks with other dogs and he runs and has fun with them.  I have yet to wear him out.  We donèt have an off leash park but sneak off leash time in the forest.

The first three classes were good as we learned about attention, healing, greeting, etc.  Barkley is now quite big, bigger than I thought he would be and he still is very excited when greeting anyone so more work to be done there.

So that is our Barkly.  He is very smart, without a doubt.  He needs alot of exercise without a doubt.  We are now working on how to relax when in the house.  He is constantly looking for trouble which he knows will get him attention.  A work in progress I would say.

We will stay in touch.  We will take more classes in the future.  The instructor was so impressed with Barkly she asked if I would put him into obedience which I am considering.

Thank you for the news about the other puppies.  I am sure they are all wonderful.

Hope Santa is good to you and yours,
Sue
Hi Carol,

Happy Holidays to you and your family.  I just thought we’d send you a picture of Kaya’s favorite winter past time.  Whenever we have a fire on in our wood stove, Kaya is right in front of it.  We’ll come up to get ready for bed and Kaya will head back down to lie in front of the fire.  She’s definitely a warm weather baby.  Thanks again for a wonderful family addition.

Hi Carol

This update is a long time coming and i apoligize for that as I know how you like to keep track of your puppies.
What can I say we have been very busy with road trips and training for Danny Boy.  We started off on a road trip to see
how he would do and by the time we had finished, Danny Boy had visited BC, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, California,
Nevada, Utah and Montana.  Out of them all he loved running in the ocean and playing on the Oregon coast.  We worked
on his people skills and being in crowds on pier 39 in san Francisco and he was the hit of the crowd. Everyone loved him
and he got to eat at the italian resturant on the second level.
We returned home and started him in his first novice obedience classes, to which he took to like a pro.  His first testing got
him a score of 191 out of 200 in Canadian Obedience trials, now it's on to bigger and better things as he will be starting his intermediate training soon along with his search and rescue training for tracking.
We were not sure how he would adapt to winter, but he loves it.  It's hard keeping him out of the snow as he loves to run
chest deep through the snow to chase his ball when we throw it.  He dosn't even want his snow booties for when it's cold.
We must say that he is an amazing family member and we are so happy to have him even with the trouble he causes
sometimes, but then again he's a lab.
Attached is a couple of photos for you to see what he has become.
Thanks again for a great pup

Hi carol
Here is another picture of casaer and his new shadow. We were a little concerned about bringing another dog into the house but he is the best decision we have made in a long time. He is a dream of a dog and fits right in like he has been here for years. He will be a member of this pack forever. Just wanted to say another big thank you. We love him

Bruce

Hey Carol,

Sorry it took so long for me to get back to you but the holidays were hectic. The dogs are great. Chasey finally decided that Roxy isn’t so bad and finally lets her snuggle and play with him. Chase & Bella just turned 3, man where has the time gone...Anyway just wanted to give you a quick update.
Stay in touch.

I cleared the shelf because Echo was trying to chew on the stuff.  Apparently her master plan was for an empty shelf for this purpose.

Hi Carol
This is Ashley here, Lebron is doing wonderfully, he is adjusting well in his new home. He is very loved, and much to my surprise has done fantastic through the night. He took to his bed and his crate right away, has not cried through the night at all, and has not once had an accident in his bed. I have some pictures that I will send you when I get more organized. Oh yes like you said I don't think you will be needing it, but if you need a second name you can write down Carmellow. Thanks
HI Carol!
Mason is doing great, he went for his booster shots today and was such a good boy, I don't think he even noticed the needle. Everyone loved meeting him at the vets office, and pretty much everywhere we go! We went and played in my parents yard today and for a long walk down by the canal where he got to meet some more people along the path.
He is very popular at petsmart, and we have enrolled him in puppy classes starting March 28th . Everyone comments on how good looking he is, and we are sure happy to have him in our family!
Hope all is well with you guys, take care, talk to you soon!
P.S.Mason is 21 pounds now! : )
Hi Carol, I thought I would send you these pics.  A dear friend of mine that is just getting into photography took these photos of me and Titus.  He is a happy, friendly, beautiful black lab with great manners.  Thank you for breeding such beautiful dogs :)  I don't know what I would do without him!  I have also provided the link above if you want to have a look at Jen De Graafs bolg about Titus.
Hi Carol,
Just wanted to let you know that little Dakoda (Kayla and Griz), now 3 1/2 months old, is doing wonderful! He is 34 lbs, very smart and cuddly, and gorgeous. Everyone who sees him thinks he is a Weimaraner! He is doing great at puppy class. We all just love him so much!!! Thanks again.

The last of your puppies for this year are all adorable! Sante continues to impress me and everyone she meets. She's such a good dog. I took her to the mountains yesterday and she looked so at home on the trail. It was the first of many hikes we'll share together. She travels really quietly (usually sleeps) and never shows any stress in the car. A couple of her baby teeth are actually broken ... I guess that's pretty normal? Still waiting for the adult teeth to show up and hopefully get past the last of the mouthing stage.

Hey Carol
I don't think Hobie likes it here, can you help us........

Hey Carol,
Thought I would sent you a update on Rookie, he is doing very well.  He is sleeping in his crate and waking us up at around 1:00 am and 4:00am. Also how long do we have to put his water up at 8 pm for it seems like he thirsty after we put it up for the night. Thank you for all your help!

Hi Carol
Sasha had her 2nd vacc of May 4th. Everything went great. She was weighing in at 20.4 pounds. She is the most beautiful pup and are so lucky to have her in our lifes. She is sitting, shakes both paws and know's her name when called. She is very calm and gentle. She also goes to the door when she needs a washroom break. No one can believe how smart she is. Thank you for breeding such a wonderful dog.

Hey Carol
Hope all is well.  Hoebie is doing great.  We started school last week.  Trevor's aunt teaches obedience and she loves him.  He has already learned to sit, lie down, heal on and off leash healing, ring the bell to go outside and we have about 50%to 60% recall.  He also fetches but sometimes doesn't give it up.  He has met all of his cousins, uncles, aunt and nieces and only out of the bunch is a wacked out golden retriever we are a bit hesitant with as he plays very ruff and we really don't want him to learn that.  He gets a little shy at times but he is coming around.  I ran into Lori Rypien and met I guess what would be Hoebie's uncle.  He is a beautiful.  I hope Hoebie is like him.  His best bud is my mother in law's beagle.  This week he is taller than him but they play great together and they live next door (how convenient).  He is starting to sleep 7 hours at night, still in his crate and he likes it.  He sometimes comes to work with mom when dad's at work and that is going pretty good.  Here are some pics.  Talk to you soon.

Carol,
Just letting you know that Macy’s last set of vaccinations went well. They gave her medication before her needles and everything went well, no reaction. I sent you a few pictures of Macy so you can see what she has been doing lately. We go camping every weekend, she loves going in the boat, she will sleep all day. She even went on the tube with the kids!!! She is losing a lot of her teeth right now. She is a wonderful dog, still very calm, she needs us around all the time. I guess she is a little spoiled! She has been taking dog classes to teach her to be a dog, I think she thinks that she is a human.
Everyone who meets her can’t believe how calm and good she is for being a pup! It is amazing, we love her!

Hi Carol-

Clancy is just 2 days shy of 5 months old. He is doing great. He swam in the lake for the first time yesterday.

My three children are totally in love with him. My 2-year old Lola calls him Clancy Boy.

Attached is a picture of him lounging by the pool.

Take Care
Hi Carol,

We got your website info from good friends of ours who got a beautifully behaved puppy from you. We have wanted a Lab for quite some time and recently spent a weekend with our close friends and their wonderful 1 1/2 year old Lab Bailey. I have to say we were blown away with how calm and well behaved Bailey was overall, but especially with our 2 kids. We'd love to come out and see your dogs and ask you some more of our questions if that would be alright with you. Let us know the best time to come out and get better acquainted with you and your wonderful dogs.
Thanks so much for your time,

S. T and Family

Hi Carol,  I have been meaning to send you a picture of the girls for along time now!!  Piper is the one on the left, she was your discount puppy with the cut lip.  The cut healed nicely and is only noticeable when we point it out to people.  Piper finally learnt to swim this summer and now loves it.  Kaycee is now 2 1/2 and is obsessed with playing ball, she will retrieve until you make her stop.  They are still best friends and play great together as well as get into trouble together. We had a baby in March of this year and both dogs are great with her.  Hope all is well with you.  I still enjoying looking at all of the new puppies on your website.

"Hi Carol :0) Just wanted to say that Stella is an amazing puppy! She is incredibly well behaved and has such a calm personality. She has settled in so quickly - it's like she's always belonged here. It's been an absolute pleasure adding her to our family - Thank you so much for breeding such an awesome pup!!
Hi Carol,
Just wanted you to know Tex is adjusting really well. We all absolutly love him. He's done GREAT with the house training and crate training.
He is such a handsome little guy. He is exactly what we wanted and so much more.
Thank you so much.

Hello Carol, sorry I haven't gotten back to you. Puppy is doing great! We named him Gunner. He made himself right @ home the first night. He is walking on a leash pretty good now, and knows how to sit, stay and lay down. He comes when called about 50% of the time. He is almost house trained now and has been sleeping through out the night the last 5 days or so. We hung bells on the outside doors but he hasn't taken interest to them yet - pretty short attention span. He has his shots booked for the end of next week

Dear Carol,
Sorry it has taken me so long to touch base with you about Abbey. She is Wonderful. She is truly our little blessing and passed puppy school with flying colors! She has spent the majority of her summer at our cabins and we cannot get her out of the water, she jumps in just for fun sometimes without us throwing a toy. Like any puppy she still gets in trouble from time to time; digging, stealing shoes(never chews them), ripping her stuffed animals apart, and sleeping on my couch (OK, that one is my fault). Kevin takes her to work whenever I work days and she is amazing with meeting new people everyday. Nevertheless, she is still protective when people come to the door but as soon as I'm okay with it so it she, perfect! I've shared your website with my family and friends as everyone loves her and has never met such a perfect lab (not to mention her unique color). Thank you again for bringing Abbey into our lives, we look forward to the years to come with her

Hi Carol,
Hope all is well with you.  Just thought I would  give you an update on Stella
She is doing absolutely great! I took her to the vet yesterday for her 2nd vaccinations – she was so good, she didn’t even flinch when the doctor gave her the needle!  She weighed in at 19.2 pounds and the vet says she is in excellent health.  I have taken her to 2 puppy training classes and the trainer says she is one smart dog (Don’t worry, she wasn’t with the other dogs yet, there policy is that the dog needs to have their 2nd set of vaccination before they can mingle with the other dogs  - they have a separate area for us to practice in).  She has already learned sit, come, down, stop, off, forward and my 9 year old taught her to shake a paw!  I am attaching a couple of pictures that I just took of her in the backyard.  She is absolutely beautiful.
Take care,
Kerri L

Hi Carol, I just thought I would share this picture on Winston and my son with you. I don’t know if you’ll remember but we picked him up in Balzac on Feb 26/11 and the roads were brutal.

Winston in awesome. He is about 9 months old now, fixed and big. He is 86 lbs now and pretty tall. To give you an idea of his size in the picture, my son is 6’1”. My husband and son took him out bird hunting, he was about 8 months old then. They mostly just wanted to see if he was scared of the gun shot because some dogs can’t handle it. He was fine with it but a little scared of the dead birds. He was pretty much a knucklehead the whole day but that is to be expected. The other dogs can show him what to do. He is such a handsome boy and he gets all kinds of compliments!!! We love him so much. Thanks again for such a wonderful dog!

Sasha and Tucker then and now
Tex is doing amazing!! He is already starting to ask to go outside when he needs too and sit's on command (without hesitation) He sits to go out the door/come in the door. He sits before he gets his food.. and has learned gentle when getting a treat.. Amazing little man, thank you for breeding such an awesome dog."

K-9 Pic-A-Poo's

The K-9 Pic-A-Poo is simply the best and most unique pooper scooper on the market today. Bernadette invented this product  when she was too pregnant and couldn’t bend over. Use your ordinary grocery bag; put it around the scooper head. The product is designed to tilt forward, scooping the mess up, leaving your grass in-tact. It can pick up pine cones, mushy crab apples, pop cans, or the larger dog poo to the teeny tiny, it's in the bag right away! Hands never touch the mess, young and old can use this product, it distances you from the mess, saves your back, you don’t have to stoop to scoop! If it gets dirty, simply rinse off under the garden hose, this product won't rot or rust, its durable, you can leave it outside all year long.

Hi Carol
Here are the pics from the Paws for a Cause in Fernie.  Hoebie did great!!  He ran the sprint relay with 2 other dogs and did not venture off course once.  He ran the barrels with only direction to the first barrel, then the other 2 barrels on a point and command.  The agility course was a bit tougher as this was his first time on that course but he still managed to do his favorite, the tunnels and a few jumps.  He has had visits to 2 old folks homes, one in Pincher Creek and one in Fort Macleod.  The Pincher one was outside so it was better, he ran tunnel relays and did barrels there and in Fort Macleod he did sprint relay and barrels.  We were inside at Fort Macleod so he didn't like that as much he prefers grass to rubber mats.  He is very smart knowing nearly all of his toys by name and bringing his bowl on comand.  Not to bad for an eight month old pup.  We love him and we are having a great time training him.  Next we are going to try to scent train, some of the other dogs in our club already do it.  I hope you can see the pictures.  Talk to ya soon.

Hi Carol, just wanted to give you an update on our lil man! Rookie (born Feb 6 from Cinnamon and Griz) is just over 10 months old now and weighs in at 73lbs. He recently went to see Santa at the Lethbridge and District Humane Society for their 'Paws and Claus' fundraiser, and the ladies there were shocked with how well behaved he was for a puppy! attached is the picture of Rookie with Santa. He is definately a 'people-puppy' and always needs to be near us when we are around. He loves playing with other dogs at the off leash park and doggy day care (Pet City Canada). He goes out to Kelly's Kountry Kennels when we go on holidays so he too can have a holiday:) he loves it there! We will keep you posted as he continues to grow! Have a very Merry Christmas from our family to yours. All the best in 2012. Jon, Julie, and Rookie
